funTHURStic Day

Woke up at 9.30am and woke AC up. I then showered and got ready. Then, AC came to my place at about 11am. I transferred some videos into his netbook and showed him the Xtreamer. After that, we drove off to TPM.

Waited in the car while AC went to get his bank draft. Then, we went over to APIIT and asked Ms Eish some stuff. In about 20 minutes, we left the place.

Decided to go to Sunway for lunch. So, I called JW and VV to come along. We met up in Starbucks and went to Tony Roma's for lunch. I ordered the Bistro Burger and asked for "Medium Rare". The waiter was shocked and confirmed with me. I nodded.

Complimentary Bread

Potato Soup (from set)

Ice Lemon Tea (from set)

Bistro Burger (set lunch) - RM 23.90

And when the burger arrived, it tasted great! We slowly finished our meal while chatting. This time, I managed to finish everything on my plate. But, I didn't refill my drink though.

Later, we went to Maybank and JW got her bank draft too. VV treated us to Apam Balik in front of Public Bank. It was a little too thick for my liking.

AC then dropped VV at the sidegate. The three of us then went to Mentari Court for bubble tea. I had an Explosion Red Milk Tea with Chocolate Pudding which was good. We laughed our way home. :P

Explosion Red Milk Tea with Chocolate Pudding and Bubbles - RM 3.50

Gave AC his stuff and he drove back home. JW, J and I then watched Glee in my room. I loved this week's Britney episode. Was funny and fun! :D

After that, we went downstairs because AP and KK brought JT over. Later, we had some snacks before coming up to my room at 6.30pm. Both of us then watched Equilibrium till 8pm. The movie was nice and the "Gun Kata" fighting scenes were COOL!

Had dinner after the movie. Then, I hung around till 9.15pm before taking my shower. Later, JW, J, mum and I drove over to SS15.

We went to Snowflake and there were MANY people there. Luckily, we got ourselves a table. I wanted to try their new "Coco Loco" but it was sold out. So, I ordered the Sea Amber Jelly instead.

Sea Amber Jelly (cold) - RM 6.00

After our dessert, all of us were so full. Mum didn't even finish hers. Dropped JW back at the side gate. Got back home at about 11.15pm.

Started blogging but got distracted by One Piece. Anyway, it's 1.30am already. Goodnight...

Boring Wednesday

Woke up at 11am and had breakfast. Used the laptop for a while before watching Matrix Reloaded. Then, I went downstairs and had lunch.

Later, I came up to shower. After that, I drove out to Gardens for about and hour. Went to BV and walked to Baskin Robins.

Before going home, I went to get myself a pretzel from Auntie Anne's. It was horrible. I think it was left overnight. :S

Came back home and used the computer till about 6.30pm. Then, I took a nap. Woke up and went downstairs to watch some TV.

At about 8.10pm, we had our dinner. I then came up and used the laptop till 9pm. SS and DGG's families both came to visit as usual. Went downstairs to hang around.

They left at 10pm and I came up to blog. It's 10.45pm already and nothing much to shout about today. So, gonna end this post here. Night...

Fun Cloudy Day

Woke up at 11am today and used the computer for a while. Let E try a macaroon but she didn't like it. Took my shower and went to pick JW up. We then went to Sunway Pyramid.

Had lunch in McD. We both had the "Big N Tasty" Set which was YUMMY! The only thing I did not eat was a part of the bun which had some white stuff on it. :S

Our Brunch

Unknown white stuff

Later, we walked around Pyramid till about 5pm. Then, we went back to her hostel so that she could change. After that, we drove on to Aman Suria.

We had dinner in Murni Discovery. There, I had Roti Hawaii and Mango Special while JW had the Mee Raja and Ribena Special. The food was quite good. We finished at about 7pm and that's when the crowd came in.

Mango Special and Pink Panther - RM 5.00 (each)

Roti Hawaii - RM 5.00

Mee Raja - RM 8.00

Drove to OneUtama and got a nice parking spot. While looking for parking, JW got motion sickness. So, she went to the toilet and vomited her nice dinner.

Went up to GSC and waited till 8pm before collecting our tickets. There weren't proper sign on the booths this time and even the person giving out the tickets was confused. After collecting the tickets, we realized it was free seating. :(

Charlie St Cloud

Decided to have ice cream in Chocolate again because it was the fastest. But once we got there, they told us that they did not have the ice cream machine. So, we ordered a Chocolate Fudge Cake. It was good.

Chocolate Fudge Cake - RM 8.90

Later, we went back up to GSC and JW got herself a HotDog. We also had their salted popcorn which was something different but still addictive. Then at 8.45pm, we rushed into the cinema and got ourselves great seats.

Within 10 minutes, the show started without much ads. In case you haven't already guessed, we were watching Charlie St Cloud. Another Zac Efron movie but this time, he looks more handsome because he wasn't so boyish and was more manly instead.

This movie has a weird genre. It's a mix between supernatural, romance, and mystery. The storyline was somewhat pointless but still nice to watch. There were some funny parts too.

Movie ended at about 10.45pm and we went off. Dropped JW at the side gate as usual before I came back home.

Started blogging and uploading pictures till now. It's 1.20am already but I'm still uploading. Will sleep soon. Night...

Eat, Pray, Love

Woke up at 11am today and took my shower. Then, I went to pick JW up. We then went to Empire for cakes. First, we went to Whisk and had their Red Velvet cake. It was just normal but I liked the icing.

Red Velvet Cake - RM 11.90

Later, we went to Serai which was something like Delicious. There, we shared another cake. This time, it was Tiramisu. The cake was wet and the nuts were crunchy. I still prefer the one from Alexis because this one doesn't really taste like it had coffee.

Tiramisu - RM 16.30 (after tax)

After that, we walked around the mall for a short while. Bumped into AJ and her dad. Continued walking and spotted this AMAZING slide in the mall. Shall try that one day.

Cool Slide!!

Just before we went home, we went to Whisk again and bought macaroons. I had one piece and it was okay. But the fact that they are so tiny, makes me wanna pop them into my mouth and finish all of it. Of course, I resisted and brought some back home.

Macaroons - RM 18 (for 1o pcs)

We drove back to my place and got there by 3pm. Then, we had a light lunch at home because we weren't hungry. Later, we watched Glee and CBML on the Xtreamer.

Went downstairs and had some snacks till 5.45pm. Took my shower before going to Sunway Pyramid with JW. It took us about half an hour to get onto the NPE.

Anyway, we arrived in Pyramid at about 7.30pm and went to Sushi Zanmai for dinner. There, we picked food off the conveyor belt for dinner. The sushi was nice but the service was a little slow.

Cucumber Maki - RM 1.80

Fu Chuk Sushi - RM 1.80

Tuna Sushi - RM 1.80

Unagi Maki - RM 4.80

Tuna Salad Maki - RM 4.80

Soft Shell Crab Maki - RM 6.80

Later, we paid the bill and went to Papa Johns to meet with L and A. Waited for them to finish dinner. Then, all of us went to Chocolate for dessert. JW and I had their Ice Cream Sundae.

Ice Cream Sundae - RM 1.50

At 9pm, we then went to TGV and met up with the others to watch "Eat Pray Love". Including mum and dad, there were 10 of us. Went into the cinema hall as soon as it was open. So, we got ourselves pretty good seats.

Eat Pray Love

Unfortunately, this experience was a bad one. They had some technical problems which caused the movie to be delayed for 20 minutes. And for the first 10 minutes of the film, the picture was squished and it made the people look short and fat.

Later, they corrected it but then it was too big. About 1/6 of the screen was projected behind the cloth at the top of the screen. Also, towards the end, we could hear construction sounds for about 40 minutes.

The movie wasn't that great too. I HATED the editing which didn't seem very professional. The story was slow and silly too. I'm pretty sure the book will be more interesting. Don't think I'd recommend anyone to watch this...

Because of the delay, the movie ended at 12.05am. So, we had to rush back to the hostel. Luckily, the guard let them (JW, AF, VV and J) in without penalizing them.

Drove home and got back before mum and dad. Started blogging till now. It's 2.30am already and I'm gonna wait till I upload the pictures before I go to bed. Night...

Happy Birthday AP!

Got back home at 7.45pm and we went out for dinner. Dad brought us to Desa Sri Hartamas for dinner. We wanted to eat at Backofen but they close the moment I got down the car.

So, we scanned the whole area and gave "Gyuniku" a chance. Once I saw the menu, I didn't like it. The price was not reasonable. I ordered Minced Beef Lou Swee Fun and it turned out to be good. Even so, I wouldn't come back again.

Minced Beef Lou Swee Fun - RM 9.00

Later, we went back home. Took my hard disk before going down to 112. They celebrated AP's birthday. Had a piece of cake and chatted with them. Played with JT too. Meanwhile, SC gave me 2 HD movies.

At 11pm, I came back home and used the laptop. Took my shower and started writing this post. I still gotta write 2 posts. Goodnight people!

Sarcasm In Kuantan

If you drive around Kuantan, I'm sure you will see these signs. They are sarcastic, funny and also conveys the message in a very unique way. I hope KL will have these too.

TAK RASA BERSALAH KE...? POTONG Q
Don't you feel guilty for cutting the queue?

SIMPANLAH SAMPAH DI DALAM KENDERAAN ANDA SEMASA DALAM PERJALANAN
Please keep your rubbish in your vehicle while driving

KALAU PERLAHAN TOLONGLAH KE KIRI
Please go to the left if you are driving slow

TAK RASA BERSALAH KE...? BUANG SAMPAH DARI KENDERAAN ANDA?
Don't you feel guilty for throwing rubbish from your vehicle?

Also, they have this funny U-turn sign which allows only cars and motorcycles to make the U-turn. Never seen this anywhere else but here.

U-turn for Motorcycle and Cars only

Amazing right? :)

Kuantan Trip Day 3

I woke up at 10am and waited for the rest to get up. At about 11.30am, they woke up and we took turns to shower. We packed our stuff and were ready by 12.30pm. Said goodbye to ZS's grandpa and the maid.

Then, we drove to Kuantan for lunch. We went to Restoran Hoi Yin which was famous for Laksa. We ordered dry mee and asked for a bowl of Laksa soup and its "liew". I didn't like the noodles but I loved the soup!

We got there by 1.30pm and we were the LAST ONES to get their "si ham" and chicken meat. According to ZS, this place normally closes at about 2pm. This place is also very old as his parents used to eat here even before they dated.

After lunch, we dropped by Taman Gelora. We walked for about 5 minutes before we went back into the car. We then headed back to Gambang.

Stopped by the famous tourist shop and bought some fish snacks to bring home. The stuff there were quite cheap and reasonable.

Sin Kee Hung

After that, we got into AC's car and he drove us back to KL. By the time we reached his house, it was already 5.30pm. That was the end of our fun trip! :)

I then sent KW and ZS back to their respective houses. Got home myself at 7.45pm...

Kuantan Trip Day 2

ZS woke me up at 7.30am. All of us then got ready for breakfast. Then, we went to a coffee shop nearby to have breakfast with Dato L. Ordered some noodles and coffee. Later, we went back to the house and packed our stuff.

Noodles

Iced Coffee

Then we waited till 10.30am before driving to Bukit Gambang Water Park. It was RM19.90 each but we had to pay for the locker and floats too. What I liked about this place was that it was "Cashless".

Bukit Gambang Water Park, Kuantan

We can top up money into our wristbands and then use our wristbands to pay for things. At the end of the day, we can collect the remaining money inside the wristbands without extra charges. This proved to be a convenient way to do things.

This is the key to our locker

Directions

There was the Glacier River with a nice series of waves at the end. They also have a HUGE PIRANHA (bucket) that pours an almost painful amount of water once every 15 minutes.

The kids area

Piranha!!

They also have a slide section with 5 slides. The Family Raft Ride (longest in Malaysia), Crystal slide, Galaxy slide, Canopy slide and the 6 Lane Racer (longest in Malaysia). If you pick the right spot, you will be very THRILLED on the Family Raft Ride. Also, the 6 Lane Racer was scary yet FUN! My body could barely stick to the slide!

Last but not least, the WAVE POOL! It's the largest in Malaysia and the waves were AMAZING! The waves are generated every 20-30 minutes and we waited for 2 rounds. The best spot was the middle where the waves push you very far! :D

After all that, we decided to call it a day. We returned our floats and went to get our camera. We then took a few pictures. Since the food was reasonable, we decided to have lunch there. We ordered burger sets which came with fries and a drink.

Later, we showered and drove back to ZS's house. There, we played Monopoly till it was 4pm. We ate some "Gao Ji" that ZS's grandpa bought for tea.

Gao Ji

Later, we drove to Kuantan and went to "Hai Peng" for coffee. The coffee there was nice and so was the Roti Bakar. It would have been nice if they used white bread instead of wholemeal bread though.

Anyway, we continued driving and ended up in "Batu Hitam" beach. There, we took a few pictures before hopping back into the car.

Next stop, Beserah. We drove around looking for the place where they filmed "Tiger Woohoo". Finally after half an hour, we succeeded!

This is where they filmed...

...the training scenes. :)

Went to the beach and walked around till about 7pm. After that, we drove to Teluk Chempedak beach again. There, we took some pictures and hung around till we got hungry.

Teluk Chempedak during the night

Then, we drove to Tanjung Lumpur. ZS brought us to "Mail Ikan Bakar" for dinner. Here, I ate Nasi Dagang for dinner and had Watermelon Juice. The 3 of them shared a stingray and Ikan Bakar. The Ikan Bakar took very long to arrive but they enjoyed it.

Mail Ikan Bakar, Tanjung Lumpur

Watermelon Juice - RM 2.50

Nasi Dagang with curry - RM 2.00

Later, drove back to town and stopped by the Kuantan River. There were LOTS of people fishing there. Well there were actually just lots of fishing poles with no action at all. We tried taking a picture of the word "Kuantan" but it was too dark.

Can't take a picture of the word "KUANTAN" at this hour

So, we went off and headed to our next destination, Terminal Satay Zul. Again, we had to wait very long. They told us they ran out of Chicken satay but we saw them serving it to someone who came LATER than us.

Anyway, we had Beef and Mutton satay. The mutton was too tough but the beef was very nice. Too bad we can't taste the chicken. Also, we saw this sign which shows how popular they are. Amazing.

After our supper, we drove back to Gambang. By the time we got home, it was already 11pm. All of us took turns to shower. Then, we with cards and later my iPod.

At about 2am, we decided to go to bed...
