Dinner at R.E.D in Brickfields

We went for dinner in R.E.D. The last time we wanted to check it out, it was close. And this afternoon, we called and no one answered. It is a restaurant along the road that is opposite KL Sentral. You really have to open your eyes to find it because there is no signboard at all and there is only a small poster on a pillar saying "R.E.D"!

There was no other customers except us. The tables were wrapped in "Sarong". I could feel the plastic that comes with the chairs even though they were covered with a layer of cloth. The Boss/Manager came to take our orders.

10-20 minutes after ordering the he first dish was served. A male waiter told us it was the "Portuguese Fish" that we ordered. He was TOO gentle and polite, we could barely hear what he was saying with that super-soft voice of his! The other food came soon after that. The "Fish" was actually the Calamari Rings we ordered!!

The so called "Portuguese Fish"(Calamari Rings)

See? That's the squid's tentacle!
.
The actual Portuguese Fish...
.
When we were done, dad asked for the bill and paid up. The entire meal cost RM 60++. My parents thought the food here was quite okay and the portion was reasonable. But to me, I would not like to come here again.

At home, we watched TV until 10pm. Came up to use the Internet. There was some problem with the WiFi so I removed the saved password from my laptop. I found out that it wasn't the laptop's problem and all I had to do was restart the router. So, I did that.

I thought I remembered my wifi password but turns out it was the wrong password. I refused to reset the router so I tried and tried to think of the right password for about one and a half hours before giving up. So, I went and reset the router and set a new password.

Finally, I can use the WiFi again! This time, I'm better save my password somewhere in case I forget...One more thing, to my cousin: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LC!(you know who you are)

Lunch at Old Town White Coffee

Woke up at 8 this morning. I was supposed to do my assignment but went to Facebook instead. At 12.30, we went to Old Town White Coffee for lunch with our grandparents. This place is in Jaya One, kopitiam style, slightly more pricey food.
.
There was no one seating us. So, we just picked our own table and sat down. We had to look for extra menus by ourselves since there was only 2 on our table. There was a piece of paper there for us to tick what we wanted to order. Personally, I prefer a waiter to seat me and take my order.
.
I ordered Nasi Lemak Special, French Toast and Ice Blended Old Town White Coffee - Original. The Nasi Lemak's chicken wasn't that good but its "ikan bilis" was very nice. The French Toast tastes like any other french toast, nothing special. The Ice Blended was full of coffee but it wasn't solid enough (too water).
.
Nasi Lemak Special (RM 6.80)
.
French Toast (RM 3.80)
.
Ice Blended OTWC Original (RM 6.80)
.
Before leaving, we ordered some food to bring home for A and E. We also ordered Coffee Lava for dessert. The Coffee Lava was just some ice cream with coffee powder. We didn't like it. The bill totalled up to Rm 90++. The service charge and government tax itself was already RM 8.

.
At home, M and I played the "Who Has The Biggest Brain?" game on Facebook. We laughed when we make silly mistakes. Then we watched quite a number of FH II episodes, so addictive!

Friday the Thirteen

Picked up YM before going to college. She left her clothes in my car and I was supposed to pass it to her before I left TPM. She is going straight to Genting in the afternoon and when she takes her clothes, she will leave her laptop with me.
.
In class, Mr Warren showed everyone their marks for the open book test. He said there are 3 types of students. (1) the student that knows what the question wants and scores 8 to 9 and 7 to 8 for Q1 and Q2 respectively. (2) the students who spends too much time in one question and does badly in the other, scoring 7 to 8 and 0 to 2. (3) the students that doesn't know what is happening and scores 1 to 2 and 0 to 1. He said "these are like football matches". Everyone laughed. Those who scored that must have been very embarrassed!
.
Mr Warren suddenly announced that we were to submit the assignment to him before 12pm. Everyone thought we were supposed to hand it in to admin by 7pm today. So, everyone (mostly) rushed out of class and went to the lab. Some of them did some final touches and some barely started.
.
Since I have done my part, I enjoyed watching this drama. All my group needed to do was the binding. I let them do the binding and went to the lab alone to see what my other friends are up to. I sat in the lab and listened to the "WHO-HA" going around. Everyone was busy with their work while I was playing games on Facebook!
.
After half an hour when ML (another group) was done with his work, we went to class. There was about only 1/3 of the students there. At 10, Mr Warren gave us a break till 10.25. When it was 10.25, mostly everyone was done with their assignment. Group by group, they were all lining up to hand it in.
.
Mr Warren commented on everbody's assignment one by one. He said ours was too general. "It's okay, can accept but cannot score high". Owh man, my effort! Never mind, as long as I pass this subject it is okay.
.
Before going home, I went to see YM and passed her the bag of clothes and took her laptop. At home, I went online till mum came back. And when mum came back, she drove me to IJN to remove the Holter.
.
When we arrived, the parking area was half empty. That surprised me. And when we went to the main hall, we saw the most unbelievable thing ever. There were only less than 5 people there! I guess everyone avoided that place on Friday and the Friday Prayers just ended so that's why it was so empty.
.
We waited for 10 minutes for the patient in room 71 to come out. Then, we went in to get the Holter removed from my chest. My chest felt so sticky because of the adhesive used. We went to collect our deposit and came back to room 71. Then, he told us that there was nothing serious. So, we will meet the doctor on Tuesday.
.
We picked M from school and went to BSC. Mum went to RHB and after that she went to buy some small pot of flowers for RM 25! Then we went to Alexis. Mum ordered 2 cakes for us to share, Bitter Chocolate and Tiramisu.
.

Tiramisu
.
Alexis has became famous over the years. Last time, there was only 1 outlet in Telawi. Now, there are four outlets (if not mistaken) and they even have singers going to their Ampang outlet to perform. Their cakes was supposed to be their specialty. My mum liked the Tiramisu but I didn't. I prefered the Bitter Chocolate.
.
When we reached home, I quickly went to shower. More than 24 hours since I showered, stinky! It took me about 10 minutes to scrub off the adhesive! We're going to 105 for C's 18th Birthday Party tonight...

Superhero for 24 Hours

After PITS today, I recieved a SMS from dad. He asked me to come home and go to IJN to attach the Holter. So, I went home and gave others a chance to park at my Oh-So-Perfect parking spot. Actually, it is not that perfect. The only reason that this spot I parked today is good is because it is nearer to APIIT.
.
When I arrived at home, I left my bag in the house, dranks some water and went to the washroom before leaving. Dad showed me the way to IJN so I can come back next time, alone. When we reached IJN, the car park was FULL. So, we parked at IJN's under-construction-new-extension building.
.
We went to a counter (counter 51) and they refered us to counter 52. Then, the person in 52 did some stuff and asked us to go to counter 8 (where you pay everything) and come back after that. So, we went to 8 paid RM100 deposit and went back to 52. She keyed in some stuff and asked me to follow another lady. That lady brought me to a room (room 71).
.
There, a male Malay doctor (or technician maybe?) briefed me on what to do (sign the agreement, what I cant do, how this works and stuff). The lady that brought me in and this doctor was very kind and speaks politely. This gives me a kind of happy(?) feeling. Much better than some places where the nurse's faces looks as if she was forced to work there.
.
This Holter is actually a machine that records your ECG for a number of hours (24 for me). Basically, I'm not supposed to get the Holter wet. Then he "connected" the device on to my body. It is just on the surface of my skin, no injections or anything that causes blood to ooze out. I'm suppose to go back tomorrow to remove it.
.
From then, I am "Bionic Man". So, with my new abilities, I went home, at lunch and went back to APIIT for IS tutorial. Hehe, just kidding... 4 wires doesn't make you a superhero! When I reached home, mom asked me to show her the Halter. I decided to ignore her because I can't be showing everyone when they ask me to. My hands will be too tired by then.
.
So, once and for all, I'm just going to post it here... Go ahead, look at it till your eyes get tired!
.
Bionic Man in his lab.
.

That's to prove I'm wearing my pants (not NAKED) like every other topless superhero.
