Lifegroup at S-307

Went out at 12pm and bought myself 2 cheeseburgers from Macca's. It was their anniversary promotion. Each customer were allowed to buy up to 4 cheeseburgers at the price of AUD1 each! Promotion is available daily but only from 12pm to 1pm.

Then, I went for my group meeting till 3pm. Came home and cooked "Stir Fry Beef with Ginger and Shallots". It was a failure but people still said it was nice. In fact, it was nice but it wasn't what I wanted.

Went back to QUT for pre-lifegroup prayer. Then, we moved to L Block and had our dinner. When we were all satisfied and happy, we went back to S-307 and continued having a great lifegroup!

By the time I got home, it was already 10pm. Cleaned up, washed up, and stayed in my room for the rest of the night.

Its Friday!

In the morning, I tried some biscuits from Peru. It's biscuit with honey. Was quite good. Thanks to W who let me try them.

Then at 5pm, I headed to QUT for lifegroup. I expected today to be a relaxing one. But it turned out to be busy. Either way, I enjoyed it. :D

Got up in the morning and made Fried Mac. Then, I went to uni and met my group for assignment. After that, I waited till 4.30pm before going to the Chapel.

Had worship practice till 5.40pm. Then, we headed to O Block for pre-LG prayer. Next, we had our lifegroup in O314.

It was our first Lifegroup in QUT and it was quite fun. We even had new cutlery! :)

At about 9.45pm, we went back to the city. Took a bus home and got back by 11.30pm...

Lifegroup is Back to Normal

Earlier in the afternoon, I prepared some strawberry and kiwis. Melted some chocolate and put it in a bowl.

Went to uni and had a group meeting. Later, I did my quiet time in the garden. At about 5pm, I walked over to Hungry Jacks.

Waited for a few people before taking the bus to Gabba. Had our full-fledged lifegroup today and it was lots of great food and fun! Girls went crazy over fondue! :P

Everything ended at about 9.30pm. I then helped clean up and took the bus home afterwards...

QUT4 Market Day Lifegroup (Poolside BBQ)

In the afternoon, I baked some cookies. Then at 3pm, I headed to JK's house. We bought some stuff and went to the pool area. After a while, TL and I went back to the city and escorted people.

After that, I helped cook the chicken and sausages while they played the icebreakers. They played "Hunter and Fire" and "Order". Glad everyone had fun.

Then, we ate our dinner. There were pasta bake, hot dogs, BBQ chicken, and some cookies. Everyone enjoyed dinner too.

Later, we took a group photo and played the "Mystery Passing" game. Then, we had some announcements and sang 2 songs before ending the night.

QUT4 Orientation Lifegroup

Woke up early today and made cheesecake. Then, I got ready and left the house. Went to Roma Street Parkland Apartments. AL, JC, C and I went there to use the pool, jacuzzi, and steam room. Thanks K for letting us use the facilities! :D

After about 2 hours of fun, we took our showers and parted ways. I went to JK's house and helped her prepare for the lifegroup later. Then at 4.45pm, I went back to the city.

Waited for our contacts to arrive before I brought them to JK's house. It was quite embarrassing because I brought them to the wrong platform and we headed the wrong direction. Wasted some time there but luckily everyone wasn't too upset.

Our 'Taco Night' was a success! But, we overestimated and there were too much food. Despite that, everyone had fun playing the games and talking to each other.

At about 10pm, we left the place and took the bus home. Was a great night!

QUT4 First Lifegroup

Stayed home in the morning and prepared some food at noon. Then, I took the 4.14pm bus to J's place. It was our first QUT4 Lifegroup.

Though it was only 9 of us, I'm sure everyone enjoyed our night. There were many laughters and great moments. We played the "Viking" game and danced the "Macarena". :D

CCM Student Conference 2011

Got up at 9am and quickly got ready. Left the house at 11am and took the bus to Central Station. There, I met up with the other QUT3 members. People from QUT1 were there too.

All of us took the Caboolture Train to Dakabin. An hour later, we got down and waited for the cars to come drive us to the Campsite.

We registered and got our room key. Put our stuff into the room and we waited for the next activity. My roommates were G, AL and TL.

All of the participants were divided into groups based on their sub-district. I was in Team 5 which consists of people from (Ipswich, QUT1, QUT2 and QUT3).

We then sat together and made our Team Flag and also thought of a War Cry. Later, all 16 teams presented their war cry and explained their flag.

Later, we lined up and got our food. Sat at the dining hall with QUT3. We had chicken, potato and some vege for dinner. We had apple crumble for dessert too.

Next, we went to the main hall for prayer meeting. I enjoyed it very much. It ended at about 10pm and we took our shower.

After that, we went to the dining hall and played "Ticket To Ride" till 1.30am! It was really a great day!

Last Lifegroup with QUT3

I made 108 cookies from 11am till 4pm. Left the house just in time to catch the bus to G's house. It was my last lifegroup here. I brought 68 cookies for them and I'm glad they finished it. :)

Time-Flying Friday

I got up at 7am today to do my quiet time. Then at 8am, I had my breakfast and started to make 2 portions of MarsBars Cheesecake. It took my 4 hours (including clean-up) to complete. I don't know why it took so long. Gone were the days where I'd have kitchen helpers. :P

After that, I did my laundry and reheated some spaghetti for lunch. I was so naive to think that I could take a nap after making the cheesecake. Anyway, I continued using till 2pm.

Took a short nap and later got ready for Lifegroup. Left the house at 4pm and arrived at about 5pm. Witnessed 2 weird incidents today. :S

Today's Lifegroup was different because we watched a Movie instead. Movie title was "Pay It Forward". I've watched it before but enjoyed watching it again. Strong and powerful message from the movie.

After the discussions, I took out the cheesecake and was happy that many people ate it. Within 10 minutes there were only 6 pieces left. :)

Took the 10.13pm bus to Kenmore and walked home. Got back at about 11pm and took my shower. That's all for tonight. I wonder what I'll be doing tomorrow...

Combined Lifegroup

Got up late today. Didn't get much studies done too. Took the bus at 4pm to the city. Walked with a few friends to an apartment in Roma Street Parklands. Our combined lifegroup was in a recreation room there.

It was really nice to have so many people together. We had pizza for dinner and played some fun games too. Praise and worship was also great.

Went back at 9.30pm but I missed my bus. There were some drama there but I managed to get home safe. Phew...

Took my shower and went to bed..

Friday is for Fun

Was busy the whole day. Got up and cleaned the house. Then, I studied a very short while before leaving for Lifegroup.

I had a great time. I shared a testimony again. :P After Lifegroup, few of us guys stayed back and our brother TL showcased his awesome talents.

Got home at 11.20pm and went to bed...

Cookie Friday

Got up today and had my breakfast. Did some of my assignment before starting my quiet time. After that, I started my cookie making session.

First up, I gathered all the ingredients and measured them. Then, I started mixing them to for the cookie dough.

Then after all that labour, I used 2 teaspoons to dollop the dough onto the trays. Then, I put them in the oven. The cookies expanded as I feared. Luckily I prepared some space for them to expand.

It's a good thing they expanded actually. Because that means bigger cookies for everyone! :)

I used 3 trays at a time. Everytime a tray is ready, I'll take it out to let the cookies cool. Then, I'd dollop more cookies and put them into the oven.

Cookies are actually more work compared to a cake. This is because you have to constantly look at the oven and do batches of cookies. If it were a cake, all you need to do is dump it into the oven once.

I was done by 3.40pm and packed everything up. I quickly took my shower and got ready for LG. Took the bus to Kenmore Central and waited for another bus. If I had waited for the city bus instead, I would have got to the Lifegroup much earlier.

Arrived in time for Pre-LG prayer. After that, E asked me where is my cheesecake and I told her I didn't bring any cake. You see, I was assigned to bring "Cake/Cookies 800g" and some assumed I'd bring cheesecake.

During dinner, many people praised my cookies. Some said it was as good as Subway's. AW told me I should sell them for a dollar each! :P

Actually, it was my first attempt to make cookies. I used a secret ingredient which helped me make this a success. It starts with the letter "P". Feel free to ask me about it.

Anyway, we had a great time in Lifegroup. It ended a little late today but I'm sure everyone enjoyed it.

Got home at about 11pm. Took my shower and started blogging till now.

Today has been a great day. Tomorrow will be my assignment day so please wish me luck and pray for me. Goodnight!

Work and FUN

Got up early and arrived in uni at 10am. I was with one of my group mate. The rest were late. Slowly, one by one, they arrived.

We ran through some trial runs of what will happen the next day. It was a good session because without it, we would have been so lost.

At about 1.30pm I went to get lunch. Bought 2 slices of pizza for AUD5 from L Block. It was crunchy and quite filling.

Later, I went to the garden and did my quiet time. Then, I went to Myer and looked at some formal shoes. Decided not to buy because I am only going to use it once. Headed to OfficeWorks and bought another notebook.

Then I took the bus to Auchenflower. At 5.15pm, we started our pre-lifegroup prayer. After that we started the lifegroup. After dinner, the plan for the night was different.

Instead of discussions, we had "Unidus Oscar Night". We were split into 3 teams and each team has to perform possible scenarios that may happen in their assignment location of Unidus.

IT WAS HILARIOUS! We even took videos but to protect everyone's reputation it won't be posted. It is YOUR LOSS for not joining us. :P

Anyway, I went off in time to catch the 430 bus home. Got back at 11.30pm and quickly showered before going to bed...

Friday

Didn't do much. Got up and cleaned up. Then I went to uni and did my work till 4.10pm. Did some quiet time before heading to Lifegroup.

I didn't write this post for more than a week that's why I'm just skipping through everything. :P

Friday, Friday

Didn't do much today. Woke up and did some revision after I had my breakfast. For lunch, I toasted some fish from yesterday. Later, I had tuna and cheese on toast.

At 4pm, I went out and took the bus to the city. Once the bus stopped at Indooroopily, 2 translink workers came on and asked for my Go card.

I tapped my Go card and showed them my student Id. Felt a bit panicky because it was my first time.

The lady in front of me used a concession card but did not have a Student ID. The officer then gave her a warning letter and told her that if he goes back and checks that she has received the letter before, he will fine her.

Anyway, I got down at Wesley Hospital and walked to G's house. Had an awesome lifegroup till 10.20pm.

Took the bus home and was home by 11.15pm. Then, I showered and studied for a while. I'm writing this in Notepad because Blogger is currently offline. Oh well, goodnight everyone!

FRIDAY

Got up and did some revision till 3pm. Had sushi for lunch. Then finally at 4.10pm, I took the bus to the city. Went to G's house and attended "Pre-Lifegroup Prayer".

Later, it was most awaited time of the week, Lifegroup! Food, games and worship. I shared a testimony and many gave me good feedback.

For group discussion, AW gave us some material and taught us lesson 1 and 2. We were in the balcony again. Nice. :)

Before going home, some of us played Jungle Speed. This time, I was one of the last 3 to win. But it was still fun.

Got home at about 11.30pm and used the laptop for a while before going to bed...

It's Friday!

Got up and did some laundry. Washed my bedsheets. Played 2 rounds of Catan. Later, I tweaked my assignment before making notes for "The Web".

At 5pm, I left the house and went for Lifegroup. Got there at 6.10pm and good food was waiting for us. G guided me to say grace.

Later, we ate and had some game time. Next was a celebration for our May babies. Then, we were split into groups and had our discussions.

Didn't have much to contribute this time but I learned a lot. Before going home, we played "Jungle Speed" which was quite fun. Something like snap but with more twists. Within 5 minutes you'd understand the game. But playing it is a different story because it takes SPEED.

Got home at 11.40pm and took my shower. Used the laptop and wrote this. It's almost 1am now. Goodnight...

A Different Friday

Woke up and did some work till about 2pm. Then, I uploaded the rest of the pictures onto my Noosa post.

Then at 4pm, I went out. Arrived at SouthBank by 5pm. Walked along the river and took some pictures. Browsed the lifestyle market but found nothing of interest.

Cool!

Waited till 6pm before meeting up with the others. The movies we wanted to watch (Thor or Fast Five) we both sold out. So, we bought "Arthur" instead.

Walked around the market again till it was 7pm. Then, we went in and watched the movie. One thing about this cinema, its free seating! :(

So we had to seat about 5 rows from the front because there isn't any place left for us to sit in a nice row.

The movie started at 7.25pm and it was good. Nice to see Arthur spending money like crazy. And in the end, it had some moral values to it too.

Movie ended at 9.20pm. Then, I took the bus to King George Square before taking another bus home.

Got home by 10.30pm and took my shower. Started blogging till now.

Had fun today. But I miss Lifegroup though. Anyway, night...
