Last Day of the Year

Woke up and waited till 12pm. Then, I drove to JW's place. She continued packing her room while I dozed off. After she was all done, we went to Sunway and settled her fees and hostel stuff.

Then, she accompanied me to "Life Care Diagnostic" in PJ. Was there to do my medical check-up and Chest X-ray.

My first urine test wasn't good (too much protein) so they asked me to drink more water and take another sample. It was 4.30pm at that time.

I drank lots of water but at 5pm (they were supposed to close at that time), I couldn't get much out of my body. Sent it in for testing and it was still too much protein.

In the end, they told me to come back another day. Sigh, what a waste of time and money. They should have told me earlier that there was this urine test thing and asked me to drink lots of water so that they can have lots of samples...

Anyway, we came back home and took a nap. Then at 7.30pm, dad brought us out to Amcorp Mall for dinner. That was the least crowded place we could think of.

Had dinner at the Korean/Japanese restaurant there. I ordered Beef Teriyaki and it was okay. The green tea I ordered was crap though.

Later, we went to TMC and bought some stuff. The candy canes were on "Buy 1 Free 1" promotion so we bought them. It was RM 9.90 for 2 boxes (16 canes per box).

And they even provided pipe cleaners, doodley eyes, and red noses so that we can make reindeers out of the canes. So that's how we spend our new year's eve, making reindeers and watching TV. :P

We got up early again today. Drove to Jalan Leong Sin Nam to have Dim Sum in Ming Court. This time, it was CLOSE! We had no choice but to go to "Yoke Fook Moon".

Ordered quite a lot this time. Food was slightly better and cheaper than "Foh San". After that, we drove to get "Salted Chicken".

Went back to JW's house and packed our stuff. We left the place at about 10.30am. Next was "Seng Kee" in Gunung Rapat. Bought some "Heong Peah" before driving back to KL.

Arrived at JW's new rental house in PJS9. Waited for the landlord to pass us the keys. He told us to come back an hour later because his maid was cleaning the room.

So we drove off to Pyramid and had lunch in McD. We weren't hungry so the both of us shared a "Big and Tasty" Set.

But when we sat down, we finished half the fries before I remembered that I have to take a picture of it! :P

After lunch, we walked around till it was 4pm. Then, we went to her hostel and packed all her stuff. Had to make 2 trips to transfer everything.

By the time we were done, it was almost 7pm. Took the NPE and got back to Bangsar by 7.15pm. Dropped some "goods" off at 112 before going home.

Once home, I unpacked my stuff. Then, I started clearing/cleaning my room. Took my shower at about 8pm before we had dinner.

Now, both of us are using our laptops to blog and surf the net. Goodnight...

Woke up for Dim Sum at 9am. Arrived at Ming Court but there was a long line into the place. When we looked around, we realized that there were 2 buses from Ampang! So, we went to Foh San instead.

Later, we went back home and rested for an hour. Then, we went to Jusco and met up with S and P. Bought tickets to watch "Little Fockers" in TGV.

Before going into the cinema, we went to McD for ice cream. The one here has the "Twin Twist" which I hadn't seen for quite a while! But the ice cream was soft and the waiter served us a crappy ice cream.

Anyway, we went to watch the movie but it wasn't that great. Funny parts were funny but other than that, it was boring and predictable.

For lunch, we went to Kin's Kitchen and ordered their "Pork Chop with Pineapple Sauce". It was quite nice.

Later, we went to the Bank and Post Office to settle some of JW's fees. Then, we picked C up. We went to have some coffee and Ham Jean Paeng. Then, we went to another shop for Roti Planta and Roti Telur.

Crashed C's house for a while before we went back home. Watched some TV till it was 7pm. Then, we drove out to Anika Selera for dinner with her dad.

I had Chee Cheong Fun and some popiah. Later, we came home and watched "Wild Target". The movie was quite dumb but funny at times.

Doctor

Woke up at about 8.30am. Was supposed to go for Dim Sum. But, JW was in pain. So we went to the doctor. Later, we bought a sandwich for her to eat it with her medicine.

Went back home and watched TV while she rested. For lunch, we ordered pizza from Dominos. It was good.

Then at 3.15pm, we went to town again. This time, to the dermatologist. The consultation lasted only 10 minutes but it took forever for the old dispensary lady to give us her medicines.

Next, we went hunting for Seng Kee Heong Peah. We followed the GPS coordinates YM gave me. But once there, we couldn't find the shop. Drove around randomly but still couldn't find it.

So, we stopped and searched the GPS. Still nothing. Just as I wanted to go home, I looked across the street one last time. That's when we saw the shop FACING US FROM DIRECTLY ACCROSS THE STREET!

We drove over and bought a packet of Heong Peah. Back home, I ate 2 of it and it was good. Continued watching TV till 7pm.

Her dad came home with Cantonese Fried Noodles so we had that for dinner. Watched "Planet 51" till about 9.30pm.

Took my shower and I'm now finishing this post. Night...

Meetings

Had to wake up at about 11am. We took turns to wash up before driving out to pick C up. Then, we went to "Big Tree Foot" for brunch. There I took some fried stuff and we ate noodles.

Later, we went to "Tong Sui Kai" for some red bean soup and some "onde onde". When we were done, we went to Intrico and bought some baking stuff.

Next, we went to C's house to look at some of her graduation pictures. Said goodbye to her at 4pm and we came back.

The both of us then used the bread maker to make wholemeal bread. Then, we watched Glee.

Later at 7.30pm, we went out to Aberdeen. Met up with her Sunway Ipoh friends there. I had the dinner set which came with soup, drink, dessert and main course.

Boxing

Woke up early in the morning and all of us went to Bercham for breakfast. We met 2 of JW's mum's friends came too.

We had hor fun. A few of them who ordered fish noodles had to wait very long because they ran out of fish. In the end, they decided to have hor fun too.

After lunch, we went back home and ate some cheesecake. JW and I dropped her brother off at Church. Then, we came home to watch TV till 6.30pm.

Had dinner at home. Later, we watched TV right up till midnight...

Christmas

Woke up at about 10am in the morning and showered. Then, we refueled the car. Dropped by Subway to get some breakfast. JW and I then drove up to Ipoh.

Arrived at about 2pm and had lunch in her house. Then, we watched 2 movies while waiting for their family friends to arrive.

All of us then went out to this Chinese restaurant for dinner. Food was good but we had to wait.

Later, we came back home and watched another movie. After that, JW and I watched Glee before going up to bed...

Home Sweet Home

Woke up in the morning and washed up. Then, JW and I drove to 1Utama. Met up with her parents and her relatives. The 9 of us went into Shogun for buffet.

Later, we walked around till about 3pm. Said goodbye before JW and I went to SS's house. The plan was to pick J and E. But in the end, we stayed all the way till dinner time.

SS brought us to Murni for dinner. I ordered the Watermelon Special and Roti Hawaii. Food was okay but the watermelon was tasteless. :(

Went back to SS's house for another short while. Then J, E, JW and I went home while M stayed over.

Bangkok - Day 4

As usual, we woke up early for breakfast. Same old stuff for us. After that, we packed and gathered our stuff. Checked out and left our bags in the hotel.

We were then divided into 2 groups. Mum, E, JW and I took the train to Siam Paragon while Dad, GM, M and J took a taxi to MBK.

The four of us then went inside the departmental store. Walked around for about 90 minutes before we came out. We spotted this cafe with a "Strawberry Frappe" promo so we went to get it.

Then, we walked around for another hour while mum and E were shopping in Gap. Later, we went to the food court and found the first Pineapple Rice in Bangkok. It was so hard to find. It was expensive too! Unbelievable.

The rice wasn't even that nice actually. We ordered 2 of it and some Tom Yam to share. Wasn't a great lunch.

Later, we walked around the mall and even went up to the cinema. When we were tired, we headed to the food court. Just then, we spotted the rest of the family.

All of us sat at a table and ordered some drinks and dessert. JW and I walked over to McD and ordered a Samurai Pork Burger. It turned out to be great!

We then took the train back to our hotel. Collected our luggage and did some repacking. Then, we pulled our luggage to the train station. We had to switch to another line before getting to the airport. It was very convenient though.

Once there, we got out boarding passes and checked a few bags in. Then, we went down to the foodcourt and had a quick dinner.

After dinner, we went back upstairs to find a very long and slow queue at the customs. Once we were all cleared, we hurried to the gate. We were the last ones to board the plane. Phew...

2 hours later, we landed at LCCT. Used the auto-gate so it was quite fast. Then, we bought some stuff from the duty free shop.

SS and SS picked us up. I drove the Avanza home while Dad drove the other car. He dropped SS and SS back before coming home.

All of us took turns to shower before going to bed at about 3am...

Bangkok - Day 4

Today was our shopping day. We took the taxi to "Platinum". It was a mall with many small shops selling clothes. Most of them were very cheap! M and J bought about 20 shirts!

I only got 2 shirts from there. We then went upstairs for lunch. Nothing much to shout about though.

After lunch, we walked another 2 floors of the mall. Then, we regrouped and walked over to Central World.

We were there to shop more. But JW and I spotted "Takashi". It offered a 30 minute facial for 299 baht.

They did a complete cleaning, steaming/removing blackheads and impurities, massage in "Takashi Style", Nourishing Treatment and free Make-up. The normal price was 550 baht.

It was a nice experience and for 299 baht it is really worth it. We quickly hurried to the food court and met up with dad and the rest.

I had some curry rice there and it tasted sweet. Kinda like this. :)

Later, the girls brought me around asking me to buy a few things. And I did! We bought 2 pairs of Giordano Jeans for 850 baht!

Just as we were leaving the mall, we decided to have a drink in "Coffee Beans". They were close to closing but we still ordered some drinks and cakes.

All of us then took a taxi and went home. That was the end of our 4th day...

Bangkok - Day 3

This day was my worst day. Dad decided that all of us should visit "Wat Pho". So after breakfast, we got into the taxi and went there. Taxi in Bangkok is actually cheaper than the train. :)

Visited the sleeping Buddha in the temple. Later, we walked around the temple for another hour or so.

Just as we were exiting, one guy told us that the Grand Palace (which we planned to go next) was closed. It will only open at 3.30pm (3 hours later).

So, he suggested we go visit another 2 temples and showed us the Tuk Tuk (trishaw with motor). They told us it was 40 baht per Tuk Tuk and dad agreed.

First, they brought us to this very quiet small temple. Went in and paid some respect before going off. Then, they brought us to this tourist shop. I was upset. We didn't ask for this. So we walked for 5 minutes and came back downstairs.

Later, they kept asking if we wanted to eat or go shopping. Next thing you know, they brought us to another tourist factory thing. I was MAD!

After that, he finally brought us to a marble temple. Went inside for a while and came out about half an hour later.

Then, the stupid Tuk Tuk drivers tried to bring us somewhere else AGAIN! Finally dad decided it was enough. We paid them and went off to take the taxi.

This time, we went to the Four Faced Buddha which near Siam Paragon. Stayed there for 15 minutes. Then, we walked over to Central World.

We went all the way up to the food court in their supermarket. Had some rice with pork. Later, I had their Coke Slushie.

Before going off, we found this shop in the supermarket that sells potatoes. They cut it in a full spiral and fry it. Then, we get to choose what flavouring to sprinkle over it.

Next, we tried dessert from this famous Thai brand named "Ice Monster". It was just fruits or jelly on shaved ice. No idea why people bother paying for it.

Since my mouth was still itchy, JW and I went to another shop and got a Green Tea Soft Ice Cream. It wasn't that great for the price we paid.

Later, we walked a bridge right underneath the BTS rail. It was a long straight bridge to Siam Paragon (busy and famous mall in Bangkok). We walked around for about 40 minutes.

On the way out, we spotted McCafe (same group as McDonalds) so we ordered some Ice Blended Chocolate drink from them.

With the drink in hand, we walked all the way back to our hotel. It was actually only one BTS Station away, but it took us about more than 20 minutes to get there.

Back at the hotel, we rested our legs for about an hour. Then, we walked a few blocks from our hotel to this local restaurant. It was packed with people. And even though we didn't speak Thai, dad pointed on the menu and gestured them what we wanted.

The food turned out to be quite nice. Later, we walked back to the hotel. That's where M's slippers broke. :P

Visited the 7eleven next to the hotel to look at what they sold. Didn't buy much except some tidbits and a bottle of Sprite.

Went back to the hotel to shower and sleep...
