Went to watch The Help alone in the cinemas today. I never thought I would do this but I finally did. Going to the cinemas alone has its pros and cons.

My ticket

Well, you don't get to share popcorn with friends. You also don't have anyone to share your opinions on the movie. But, it is actually way easier to plan. In fact, you can just go according to your own time. Besides that, you can cry all you want during the movie and nobody will need to know. :P

Will I do this again? Honestly, I would but the movie, like this one, would have to be a very good and slow one.

QUT2 and QUT4 Hotpot Gathering

Went to J's house in Chermside for dinner. People from QUT2 and QUT4 came together for this night of fun.

A brought his Xbox and all of us were laughing the whole night because of it. Basically, its like the Wii except you don't have to hold a stick/controller. All you have to do is stand in front of the TV and it can detects your entire body!

I went home with a painful stomach because I laughed too much and shouted too much! :P Another good night of fun this week! :)

It has been more than a week since I last blogged. I just don't have the time for it any more. I have reached a point in my life where I have more valueable things to do rather than blogging everyday.

Half Way There

Today is Week7 and it started quite well. One of my group assignments is almost done. After class, I went to get some sushi for dinner. Was too lazy to cook. Went over to Woolworth's and got some stuff.

After dinner, I started working on my assignment. I didn't expect it but somehow I managed to finish a major part of the assignment. :D Praise the Lord!

Taking a break now and I shall continue with my work tomorrow. Goodnight!

In the afternoon, I baked mini muffins in my new house for the first time. Took quite a while because I wasn't too prepared. =P

Later, I went to Eagle Street Pier and met up with people from QUT3 and QUT4. We then camped there for more than 3 hours. We ate junk food, played games, and had an awesome time with each other!

At about 7pm, the fireworks started! It was good but somehow I wasn't impressed. :P The show lasted for 20 minutes, half the time of last year's show. I recorded 18 minutes of it but it's too big and I'm too lazy to upload it. :P

We stayed back and took some pictures. All of us left at about 8pm or so.

Then, some of us went to MadTongSan for dinner. Ordered Bi Bim Bap and was so stuffed after that.

Took the bus home with J, A and P. Back home, I showered and went to bed...

It's almost the end of Winter and it has been raining since 3pm. There were warnings of dangerous weather but luckily it didn't happen.

Earlier in the morning, I made myself a 'proper' breakfast. Had eggs, sausages and baked beans. :)

Went to uni and had class from 3pm to 7pm. Afterwards, I went to get some groceries. Came home and cooked cottage pie for dinner.

Later, I worked on my assignment till it was time for bed...

Got up and had my breakfast. Did my quiet time as usual before taking my shower. Said goodbye to W who will leave for Sydney at 5pm. Then, SH and I left the house.

Headed to Church and was a few minutes early for CDS. This weeks class was good. And right after that, we had pre-service prayer, followed by our Afternoon Service. :)

And after the great service, we went out for dinner. QUT3 ended up joining us too! We ate at MadTongSan2 and I ordered Bi Bim Bap.

Reached home at about 9pm and took my shower. Read some stuff before writing this post. It's 11pm now and I'm gonna sleep early for once.

Another Wasted Saturday

Gosh, wasted my day again today. Only managed to do 2 parts of my assignment. And, it was raining almost for the whole day.

On the bright side, I managed to cook mash for lunch. For dinner, I had mash and corned beef. The food turned out pretty good.. :)

Went out at 12pm and bought myself 2 cheeseburgers from Macca's. It was their anniversary promotion. Each customer were allowed to buy up to 4 cheeseburgers at the price of AUD1 each! Promotion is available daily but only from 12pm to 1pm.

Then, I went for my group meeting till 3pm. Came home and cooked "Stir Fry Beef with Ginger and Shallots". It was a failure but people still said it was nice. In fact, it was nice but it wasn't what I wanted.

Got an email saying my course enrollment will be cancelled. Apparently I didn't pay my school fees. After class, I went to Student Services and the staff helped me transfer the case to the Finance department.

Went for my lecture from 5pm to 7pm. It was quite interesting because a guy working in the Computer Forensics industry came to share with us.

After that, I headed to the corporate prayer meeting in Woollonggabba. It was another amazing session.

Came home and made some noodles for dinner. It's 11.21pm and I'm gonna sleep soon. Night...

OMG, It's Week 5

It's week 5 already! Went to uni and had my group meeting. After that, we went to class till 3pm. Had a subway sandwich for lunch before going for the tutorial.

Walked to Coles and bought some stuff before going back home. Made myself some spaghetti before retiring in my room...

My First Day As An Usher

Wore my formal top, put on a pair of jeans, sprayed some perfume, waxed my hair and put on my contacts. Then, I went to Church.

Attended half of the CDS class. At 2.10pm, I went out and all the ushers gathered. We had our briefing and at 3pm, we started 'work'.

It was a good experience. It's quite interesting to actually go behind the scenes and do some work.

My job for the day was to stand at the front door of the second hall. Welcomed people and gave them the bulletins. The other thing I did was give out welcome packs to the front left portion of the first hall. After service, we also helped dry the communion cups. You probably won't know what this whole I'm trying to say in this whole paragraph. Oh well. :P

For dinner, we went to this Vietnamese and Chinese restaurant in Hawken Drive. Ordered the Crispy Chicken with Rice which turned out to be quite good.

Cake Day

In the afternoon, J picked me up and we went to pick MH. Then, we went to JK's house and made 2 cakes. Black Forest and Cheesecake. The Black Forest

After we were done, we played some cards till about 6.15pm. Then, we had a slice of each cake. Was a fun day. It only costs everyone 3 bucks for 2 cakes. :)

The only thing I did today were watch Naruto, talk to people, made deep fried mac and cheese, washed clothes, bought some stuff from Woolworth and Kmart, wasted time, and spend 2 hours on the introduction of my assignment.

After breakfast, I went to get some stuff from Indooroopilly. The reason why I went all the way there was because my mixer was not working and I went to exchange it.

Later, I came home and ate my lunch. Then, I took the bus to the city. Walked to uni for my tutorial. An hour later, I went for the lecture. There was a fire drill so we couldn't finish the lecture material.

Went to Chapel for prayer meeting and it was AWESOME! I just love how our prayer meetings always become spontaneous worship sessions. :D

After that, a few of us had free drinks in La Dolce Vita. We also shared 2 pieces of cake. Tiramisu and Brownies. It was a nice time of sharing and getting to know each other more.

Week 4

Got up and did some work before heading to class. It only took me 15 minutes to get to QUT. Had a group meeting followed by a lecture.

At about 8.30pm, we left the house and went to Southbank and watched a Green Lantern! This time, I could redeem my free movie ticket. :P

Came back and did some work for a while before going to bed...

New Begining

Today's a new day. I got up at 9am and did my quiet time. Then, I had my breakfast and cleaned up.

At 12pm, GTM sent me to the new house. We took my stuff into the room and they looked around the house.

After that, I went to the bus stop to go to UQ. The bus was late but JF drove by and picked me up.

Went to register people from my lifegroup into the CDS classes. After collecting the notes, we went for the classes.

Next was pre-service prayer, followed by the church service. Today's topic was on Friendship with God.

Later, we went out and ate the refreshments provided. The food was really good today.

We went in 3 cars for dinner at Old Town. I ordered Ipoh Hor Fun which was just normal.

Then, K dropped me off at Coronation Drive and I walked back to my new home. Had a long chat with my new housemate before unpacking some stuff.

Took my shower and relaxed for the rest of the night...

Movie Night!

In the afternoon, I cleaned my room. Then at 4pm, I took the bus to the city. We went to Southbank and wanted to watch "Rise of Planet of the Apes". But, the tickets were sold out.

So, we went back to the city and watched it at Myer Center. Since I didn't have the Myer card, I had to pay AUD13! Could have just paid AUD6.50!!

Later, I took the bus home and slept in that room for one last time.

Got up in the morning and made Fried Mac. Then, I went to uni and met my group for assignment. After that, I waited till 4.30pm before going to the Chapel.

Had worship practice till 5.40pm. Then, we headed to O Block for pre-LG prayer. Next, we had our lifegroup in O314.

It was our first Lifegroup in QUT and it was quite fun. We even had new cutlery! :)

Semester 2 First CCM Timeout!

Did my laundry in the morning and did some packing. At about 11am, I took the bus and met CZ. We bought lunch from Sushi D'lite and went to uni.

Attended CCM's first Timeout for this semester. For the first time, they provided us with food! 3 of our friends MADE 5 containers of sushi for everyone!

It was a different Tuesday. At about 12pm, TL, JC and I went to Stafford Heights and helped a friend move her stuff to Kelvin Grove.

After that, I went to uni and had class from 3pm to 7pm. Lecture was interesting but at the same time boring. Haha...

When the class ended, I walked over to Woolonggabba for prayer meeting. Today's prayer meeting was spontaneous and special. Enjoyed it a lot.

Eight Eight

It was the start of my "war". Lived my day according to the timetable I set. Left the house at 10am and was reading some notes in the garden.

Later, I went for my group meeting. After that, we headed to our lecture. Next was out tutorial. That ended at 5pm and I went home.

By the time I got back, it was about 6.30pm. Ate steak and sausages for dinner. Cleaned up and went to my room and used the laptop till now...

Had my haircut in the morning. At about 1pm, I went to Kelvin Grove and printed some stuff. Then, I went to church. Today's service was at F block in Kelvin Grove. It was way bigger and nicer. :)

After service, we had refreshments and hung around for a while. Then, we took the bus to the city.

We had dinner in MadTongSan. It's a famous Korean restaurant and we were lucky because we didn't have to wait for too long.

I ordered Bulgogi which was quite nice. When I was done, my stomach was so uncomfortably bloated. :P

West End

Got up early and was in the city by 8.45am. Waited for everyone to arrive before going on the bus to West End.

We spent few hours walking and buying stuff. I bought strawberries which was quite cheap compared to Coles. I won't buy them anymore though. Once I got home, I realized how lousy they were.

Anyway, we had fun buying cheap vege. We also tried out some food. I bought a Vietnamese Dumpling which was made out of banana and coconut. I also bought super expensive Churros which I won't buy again (I don't like the lady).

Lifegroup is Back to Normal

Earlier in the afternoon, I prepared some strawberry and kiwis. Melted some chocolate and put it in a bowl.

Waited for a few people before taking the bus to Gabba. Had our full-fledged lifegroup today and it was lots of great food and fun! Girls went crazy over fondue! :P

Everything ended at about 9.30pm. I then helped clean up and took the bus home afterwards...

Went to uni for my tutorial and lecture. It went on from 5pm till 8pm. After that, I met up with JC and we went to Nudo's on Mary for dinner.

I always thought it's a nice western noodle place. Turns out, they sell Malaysian Food. Not that I don't like Malaysian food, it's just I don't like paying over 10 bucks for something that is only worth RM5.

At 4pm, I bumped into JK and then M and her friends. All of us then went to get free coffee thanks to East West. Got to know 3 new friends and later VH joined us too.

Headed for class and that ended at 7pm. Went to the chapel for prayer meeting. Had a great time praying with QUT4.

Later, I went to the city and got myself dinner from Hungry Jacks. Took the bus home and got back by 10.30pm...

Today is week 2 of the semester. Went for class at 1pm and met VH. After class, we sat at the garden and talked till it was time for our tutorial. At 4pm, we attended the short tutorial.

After that, I went to the city and took the bus home. The bus was really packed but I managed to get a seat.

Back home, I had dinner with GTM and family before cleaning up. Came into my room and used the laptop and also did some work.

CHANGE

Today was our "Impact Sunday". I left home at 1pm and was at the city by 1.45pm. Waited for our new friends before bringing them to UQ.

Waited outside the Abel Smith building as if it was a concert. And just as we expected, the hall was full and many people had to sit outside the hall. :)

The "praise and worship" session was really great. Then, there was a performance by Teen Mania. They did a great job and the message was good too.

After that, we Pastor Joshua came up and gave his sermon. Message was simple and clear. Everything ended at about 6pm.

Then, we went to Cyber-city for dinner. I had "Hokkien Fried Rice". It was nice but the sauce was too salty. Had to drink lots of water after that. We paid and left at 8.30pm.

Settlers of Brisbane

Got up at 6.40am and quickly washed up. Took the bus to the city and ate my breakfast at Hungry Jacks. Then, we waited for a few of our friends before going to UQ.

Once we arrived, we searched for the field. Then, we registered and the team leaders had a briefing. I was the leader for my team and I did some homework. That helped us in the game quite a bit. Also, taking notes were quite useful.

At about 9.30am, we started the game. We had to play 6 station games and 4 bonus games before we could replay the games. Upon completing each game, resources would be given. These resources will then be used to build our roads, settlements, and empires.

Each of us only used one hand each, 5 toothpicks, and I (team leader) couldn't talk!

Yummy Mummy - We had to carry our teammate with a piece of paper across the field.
Had to stick popcorn to our cheeks with Nutella.
Upon reaching, we ate the popcorn and stuck the paper on another teammate

I really enjoyed it because the games were creative and it also made us use our brains. Also, for the first time, I was so excited about winning. Motivating others and keeping the team excited was part of the fun too! Someone said I was the loudest in the team, and I don't deny it. XD

At about 12.30pm, the game ended and we gathered around. Collected our lunch after the special performance by Teen Mania.

After that, they announced the winners. We had 3 groups of 10 teams and my team was in Group C. We (Team 21) won the second place for our group! It's quite funny because when we knew what the prize was, we actually wanted to get second place!

Then, leaders from UQ presented their gifts to RC who was overseeing UQ Sub-district. It was funny because everyone gave him funny gifts like shampoo, pillow, toilet roll, contracts, mars bars, and candles.

We left the place at 2.30pm and about 15 of us (consisting of members from QUT1, QUT3, and QUT4) went to Hazel Tea Shop. Unfortunately, the place couldn't fit all of us. So, we bought our drinks and went to MYER Center instead.

Stayed there till about 4pm before going our separate ways. I went to Indooroopilly and bought something. Dropped it a JC's house before going back home.

Waited till 7pm and we had steak, sausages and salad for dinner. Then for dessert, we had poached pear with cream. :)

After that, I cleaned up and started writing this post...

In the afternoon, I baked some cookies. Then at 3pm, I headed to JK's house. We bought some stuff and went to the pool area. After a while, TL and I went back to the city and escorted people.

After that, I helped cook the chicken and sausages while they played the icebreakers. They played "Hunter and Fire" and "Order". Glad everyone had fun.

Last Day

It was our last day of recruitment and it was quite a fruitful one. Towards the end, we used a different strategy which was quite interesting.

After that, I hung out in campus till 6pm. Went to Mad Cafe for my dinner. Ordered their Salad Chicken Fried Rice which was quite expensive but it was the only other meal I could get at that time.

Teen Mania

Today's Market Day outreach was in KG. For the first half, I paired up with JK and talked to a few people.

After that, people from Teen Mania arrived. They are on a mission trip from USA! I joined 3 teens and we went to invite people to the our service this Sunday!

One of them really put me in awe. It's really amazing how God can use someone! After everything, we talked for a bit before they left. Will be meeting them again this Saturday.

Headed to class at 3pm. It was really boring. Everything ended at 6pm and I went to get dinner. Unfortunately, they don't have the Stunner deal anymore. :(

Had my dinner and went back home. I'm trying to complete all the outdated posts by tonight. :P

Day 2 of the Semester

Came to help CCM out in Market day today. Then at 3pm, I went to my tutorial. I went back to meet the rest of them 30 minutes later because there wasn't any tutorial.

In the end, we all went to Global Cafe and got the free drink. At about 4.45pm, everyone went to QPAC for A and E's graduation.

I didn't follow them because I had a class to attend. The super dry class ended at 7pm. Went back home and rested for the night...

Market Day

Went to GP and helped out in Market Day. Then at 1pm, I went for my class for 2 hours. As I was heading back to the booth, I met up with some of the CCM members.

A bunch of us then headeed to Hazel Tea Cafe for Bubble Tea and fellowship. I bought a "large" Milk Tea with Pearls. After spinning the wheel, I managed to get a "Free Upgrade" card.

QUT4 Goes For Service and Dinner

Went to Indooroopilly in the afternoon. Shopped around buying food before going to Church. The service was packed because many parents and some new friends joined us this week.

It was mentor-appreciation day today. I gave JC a hug and a card. :)

Later, QUT4 went out to SunnyBank Hills for dinner. It's this place called "Dining Room" which was just behind JustSoy. We ordered a 6 person set and shared among 8 of us. Food was really satisfying.

AW dropped me at the Auchenflower bus stop after dinner. I took the bus to Kenmore Central and walked home...

JY's House Warming

Made 2 portions of Apple Crumble in the afternoon. Once I was done, I took my shower and went out. Took the bus to Toowong and walked to JY's house.

It was her House-warming Party. We had a nice hotpot for dinner. Perfect for winter! To top it off, we had this special sauce called "沙茶" (Sand Tea) sauce. It was my first time trying it and I loved it a lot!

Later, we played "Monopoly Deal Transformers", "snap", and finally "Heart Attack" with the "Idiot Forfeit". It was so FUN!

Was just in time to catch the next bus home. Awesome night with QUT3!

QUT4 Orientation Lifegroup

Woke up early today and made cheesecake. Then, I got ready and left the house. Went to Roma Street Parkland Apartments. AL, JC, C and I went there to use the pool, jacuzzi, and steam room. Thanks K for letting us use the facilities! :D

After about 2 hours of fun, we took our showers and parted ways. I went to JK's house and helped her prepare for the lifegroup later. Then at 4.45pm, I went back to the city.

Waited for our contacts to arrive before I brought them to JK's house. It was quite embarrassing because I brought them to the wrong platform and we headed the wrong direction. Wasted some time there but luckily everyone wasn't too upset.

Our 'Taco Night' was a success! But, we overestimated and there were too much food. Despite that, everyone had fun playing the games and talking to each other.

At about 10pm, we left the place and took the bus home. Was a great night!

Day 4

Today's booth was set up in Kelvin Grove campus. Talked to a few more people there. After everything ended, TL, JK, CS and I went to Woolonggabba.

Bought stuff from Coles before going to JK's house. Then, we tested out the Taco Recipe and it was quite a success.

Went off and reached home at 7pm. Had my dinner and used the computer. Tomorrow it'll be our Orientation Lifegroup where our new friends come to join us. Can't wait!

It was another day of reaching out. After that, I met up J and had our mentoring session. Then, I went to the city and bought some stuff.

Walked over to SouthBank and joined a few friends for BBQ by the park. Everyone brought food and we started cooking.

Today was quiet compared to yesterday. And, I tried chatting with people instead of selling them the membership. It was a good day.

Later, I stayed in the library and used the computer. Searched up some ideas for icebreakers and also read some articles till about 5.30pm.

Then, I went to the city for dinner. To my surprise, the pasta shop isn't there anymore. I guess I won't have 4 dollar pasta anymore. Bought a box of assorted sushi for dinner.

Woke up early and had my breakfast. Cleaned up and went to QUT. Most of us CCM members were busy inviting the new people to our lifegroups and also promoting our club.

Was at UQ by 11.15am today. Waited for the others to arrive before going for "Orientation Briefing". After that, we went to Pizza Caffe for lunch. 6 of us shared 4 pizzas. It was really delicious!

After that, we went for the pre-service prayer, followed by the afternoon service. It all ended at 5.45pm and we helped to pack up.

Then, 5 of from QUT4 went to Ajisen Ramen for dinner. Because it was only 5 of us, we didn't have to waste a lot of time waiting for people. By 8pm, we finished our dinner!

We said goodbye to each other and went our separate ways. I got back by 9.10pm and took my shower.

Tomorrow will be the first day of Sem2 orientation. I will be helping CCM out and I'm excited! :)

At about 5pm, I left home and took the bus to Woolongabba. Was just in time for "Touching Heaven Touching Deep (Extra)".

I thought it was just a name. But the prayer went on till 10.45pm! It was a great time of prayer but we got slightly tired after 2 sessions.

Then, all of us went back home. I got back at 12.10am and rested for the night...

Catching Up

Got up at 10am and did my laundry. Had breakfast and cleaned up. Then, I took my shower and did my quiet time. Went through the previous days' material.

Then, I finished the book of "Job" and read another chapter of "Purpose Driven Life". Later, I also wrote about another 3 pages of stuff on my journal.

After that, I started writing my blog posts for last week. I finally covered all the missing days after few hours. I kinda like it this way because now only the highlights are written.

Had homemade Hokkien Noodles for dinner. And for dessert, D and I made Apple Crumble. I accidentally left the apples to boil for too long and they ended up all soft. Everyone still enjoyed it though. :P

I'm gonna end this post and start writing for the 3 days of my camp. Bye...

CCM Got Talent

Got up at 8am and quickly washed up. Headed to the dining hall for breakfast. After that, we did our quiet time before going in for our Sunday Service. The service was good.

Later, we hurried to get ready for CCM Got Talent. Us guys put on the 70s Chinese Mobster look with the help of lots of gel! It was really fun.

When it was our turn, we did a smashing performance. Although I screwed up one dance move, many people enjoyed our dance. Plus, we won 3rd place! :D

After everything ended, each team were assigned to clean up an area. Team 5 and some others were asked to clean up the dining area.

Then, we went back to our rooms and cleaned up. Later, we checked-out and went back to the city. TL, JY and I sat in G's car.

We went to Cybercity in Fortitude Valley. Had a great dinner with the people of QUT3. It'll probably be the last dinner with them. Next week onwards, it'll be QUT4.

After dinner, TL, E, S and I took the bus back to the city. I quickly ran to Queen Street Bus Station and got on another bus.

Was home by 9.30pm and sorted out my stuff till about 10pm. Showered and retired in my room for the rest of the night...

Long and Fun Day

Got up at 7.30am and washed up. Then, we waited in line for our breakfast before going to the dining hall.

After that, we had our quiet time, followed by a morning session. Pastor Lance was our guest speaker. Later, we had lunch and practiced our performance.

Then at 3pm, we started our station games. All teams have to complete 8 station games according to the order given to us. At every station, we'd face-off with another team.

Our team never lost. It was either a tie, or a win. I enjoyed most of the games. Especially those that required teamwork and strategy.

It ended at 6pm and everyone was waiting to shower. The girls had their own ensuite toilet but all the guys had to use one common toilet. :S

TL and I were one of the last to shower. Quickly grabbed our dinner and joined the rest of QUT3. Before the service started, we played some classic "hand games" (scissors paper stone and others).

Service went on till 10.30pm. All lifegroups from QUT (QUT1, QUT2, and QUT3) went to the dining hall and waited for our sub-district leader to arrive. Then, one by one, we surrounded her and sang a modified version of "Just the way you are" to her. Each of us gave her a piece of chocolate and some words of encouragement too.

Later, QUT3 gathered and practiced our dance for 2 more times. We ended at about 12.30am and went back to our rooms and slept...

CCM Student Conference 2011

Got up at 9am and quickly got ready. Left the house at 11am and took the bus to Central Station. There, I met up with the other QUT3 members. People from QUT1 were there too.

All of us took the Caboolture Train to Dakabin. An hour later, we got down and waited for the cars to come drive us to the Campsite.

We registered and got our room key. Put our stuff into the room and we waited for the next activity. My roommates were G, AL and TL.

All of the participants were divided into groups based on their sub-district. I was in Team 5 which consists of people from (Ipswich, QUT1, QUT2 and QUT3).

We then sat together and made our Team Flag and also thought of a War Cry. Later, all 16 teams presented their war cry and explained their flag.

Later, we lined up and got our food. Sat at the dining hall with QUT3. We had chicken, potato and some vege for dinner. We had apple crumble for dessert too.

Next, we went to the main hall for prayer meeting. I enjoyed it very much. It ended at about 10pm and we took our shower.

Final Practice

After that, we started singing/recording the song. It was my first time "recording" and that took us 2 hours for just at 2-minute song.

Got up early and took the bus to Indooroopilly. Bought some stuff and came home. Then, I made egg and mayo sandwiches for the church. At 2pm, I took the bus and headed to UQ.

Today's praise and worship was really powerful. We also had a special guest today, Sophie Joy Madison. She shared her testimony and also performed 2 songs for us.

After service, we hung around and had a briefing from our director (Mr TL). QUT3 will be taking part in CCM Got Talent this weekend so we gotta practice practice practice!

For dinner, we went to Fortitude Valley and had dinner in Superbowl. It was a good time.

Farewell BBQ

I woke up at 8am and got ready. Took the bus and walked to TL's house. All of us were here to help TL, LR and E move house. I was late so stuff were already loaded on the truck.

We went to the new house and helped carry everything to their house. Then, I helped arrange the bed and move some stuff around.

Then, I followed L and AL t JC's house. There, we waited for him to shower before driving to Fortitude Valley to meet G.

We then bought stuff from different places for our BBQ. Went to Coles and Crazy Clarks. Digestive biscuits were selling at AUD3 each instead of AUD5.60! I quickly bought 2. I also bought bread, eggs and mayo to make sandwiches for Sunday's service.

Later, we went to HY's place and prepared the food for BBQ. Then, we spend about an hour starting the fire. It was especially fun for HY because she used her 3-year old lecture notes to get the fire started. :P

Today is the day we gathered for a night together as QUT4. Earlier, I tried making Apple Crumble for the first time. And it turned out real good even though the crumble was a disaster and I had to improvise. :P

I Want To Escape

Today's the only day this week that I'm spending the whole day at home. And it is when I realize, I really can't stand it. I was glad to have a day at home, just playing computer and stuff. But no...

Not to say I don't enjoy waking up late, catching up on my blog posts, playing Sims Medieval, and surfing FB. I enjoy that time a lot. I also enjoy being in my room.

Oh well, I guess part of studying overseas is also to train your endurance towards certain things...

Bus-Hopping Tuesday

Left the house at 3pm again. This time, I went to Indooroopilly and got some ingredients. Then, I took another bus to the city. Ate lasagna for my dinner before taking another bus to Southbank.

Got on the 88 bus. After a while, I realized it doesn't go onto the Busway until "Buranda". So once it arrived at the busway, I quickly got off and went to the other side. Took another bus from there back to Southbank.

AL and JC picked me up from the station. Then, we drove to Koorong. It's a Christian bookshop and there was a 15% discount. We browsed from 6pm till 6.50pm but I didn't get anything. JC bought "Purpose Driven Life" as a gift to me. :)

We went to the prayer meeting and I took the bus home after that...

Funday

Was just hanging around at home till 3pm. Took the bus to the city and another bus to Materhill. There, we gathered and took another bus to Sunnybank.

About 12 of us invaded JustSoy. I ordered a dessert which had 2 scoops of green tea ice cream, some glutinous balls, and red bean. I was disappointed because they just chucked everything into the bowl but if you look at the picture, it is neatly placed.

It was only 5.45pm when we left. Took another bus to another area in Sunnybank. Then, AL brought us to this Taiwanese shop (beside Little Taipei Foodcourt). There, G, K and J

Food there was quite reasonable. For AUD7.40, I had a Minced Pork Rice set which allows us to choose a drink (Wintermelon or Calpas) and a packet of Taiwanese Snacks. I choose the Fried Chicken.

Got up at 10am today, had breakfast and cleaned up. Then, I took my shower before having quiet time. Had lunch and played "Sims Medieval" for a while.

Took the bus to Toowong and another bus to UQ. Saw someone's phone on the floor of bus as I was getting down. Called Translink but the operator just said "The driver will pick it up later". I just hope someone else doesn't pick it up before he does...

Today's sermon was about conflicts and how to resolve them. I found it really useful. As usual, we stayed around till 6.40pm.

Then, we went to Old Town for dinner. It was a combined dinner with QUT2. I had Hokkien Noodles which were quite good.

Later, we took the train to Roma Street and from there a bus back home...

I got up at 7am today to do my quiet time. Then at 8am, I had my breakfast and started to make 2 portions of MarsBars Cheesecake. It took my 4 hours (including clean-up) to complete. I don't know why it took so long. Gone were the days where I'd have kitchen helpers. :P

After that, I did my laundry and reheated some spaghetti for lunch. I was so naive to think that I could take a nap after making the cheesecake. Anyway, I continued using till 2pm.

Took a short nap and later got ready for Lifegroup. Left the house at 4pm and arrived at about 5pm. Witnessed 2 weird incidents today. :S

Today's Lifegroup was different because we watched a Movie instead. Movie title was "Pay It Forward". I've watched it before but enjoyed watching it again. Strong and powerful message from the movie.

Got up at 11am today. Slacked around till 2pm. Then, I went to take the bus. Went to Indooroopilly but was devastated to see that they weren't anymore discount for Mars Bars! I waited for it to go down from AUD3 to AUD2. But they cancelled the promo and now its AUD4!!

Didn't buy anything there. Bought a foot long Meatball sandwich from Subway. Then, I took the bus to the city. Walked to the Woolworths in the city but they didn't have the discount too. Ended up buying the large packet of Mars Bars. Oh well..

Later, I went to uni and did some revision before the exam. Went to Q block at 5pm and waited for the exam to start. We went in at about 5.20pm.

The exam went pretty well. But I didn't really enjoy it because I had to write lots of stuff just to get 4 marks for each question. I managed to come out early though.

Finished my other half of the sandwich before going to Coles. Bought Cream Cheese and Thickened Cream before taking the bus home.

Once home, I started writing this. My holiday officially starts tonight! Wonder what I'll do...

Almost Over

Woke up at 12.30pm today. Only started studying at 5pm. I think I only did about 4 hours of revision for the whole day.

Tomorrow is my last paper and I can't wait for it to be over!

Waking Up Early

I got up very early today and left the house at 5.50am. Took the 6am bus and arrived at the city before 7am.

Bought myself an "Extra Value Brekky" from Hungry Jacks again. Yes, I'm visiting Hungry Jacks for the second time in less than 24 hours.

Then, I went to QUT and studied for one last time. Sat for my paper at 8.30am. It went quite well. I managed to come out before the exam ended.

Walked to the city and was going from supermarket to supermarket. Bought some stuff before walking to Myer Center for lunch.

Later, I went to the library and used the computer. Did a bit of revision. Then, I bumped into TL and we chat till it was time for prayer meeting.

Today's prayer was slightly different. I liked it though. Later, I took the bus home and had a nice and relaxing night...

First Exam in QUT

Got up at 10am and had breakfast. Cleaned up and washed up as usual. Did my quiet time before studying. Then, I went out to take the bus.

Arrived at QUT at about 3pm. Then, I continued studying till 5pm. Walked to the classroom for my exam.

One major difference between QUT and UCTI is the exams. They don't have halls. Instead, they split the students into few groups and assign them to classes. Each class will have a facilitator. You can leave as early as you want, but can't leave 15 minutes before the exam ends.

I left about half an hour before it ended. Headed to Hungry Jacks for dinner. Ordered the usual stunner deal.

Took the bus home and quickly went to bed...

I got up quite late. Did an hour of studies and had my lunch. Then, I took the bus to Indooroopilly. The UQ bus was delayed so I missed the pre-service prayer.

After service we went to Hawken Drive for dinner. As usual, we ate at "Song". I decided to try "Lo Mee" again. And this time, the color was right but the noodles and sauce texture was totally different! This was "wanton mee" but they said its "Chicken Lo Mee". Gosh!

Got up at 11am and had my breakfast. Did some chores and took my shower. By then, it was time for lunch. Made myself some garlic bread.

Combined Lifegroup

Got up late today. Didn't get much studies done too. Took the bus at 4pm to the city. Walked with a few friends to an apartment in Roma Street Parklands. Our combined lifegroup was in a recreation room there.

It was really nice to have so many people together. We had pizza for dinner and played some fun games too. Praise and worship was also great.

Went back at 9.30pm but I missed my bus. There were some drama there but I managed to get home safe. Phew...

Took my shower and went to bed..

Shopping

Went to Indooroopilly to check if the chocolates were on sale. They were, but I'm still waiting for it to come down to AUD2 per pack. Ended up buying a cup-a-soup before heading to Crazy Clarks. Bought something before going to the city.

Then, I went to Officeworks to get some stationary. Next, I went to 7eleven to buy some junk. It was their "$1 Day" so a few items were on sale for AUD1. I bought 3 cans of Mother (300ml) and 2 packets of Twisties.

Came home and did some studying till dinner time. After dinner, I took my shower and studied till 1am...

Went to uni to study today. Was quite productive with JC and AL with me. At 6pm, I went to the city and ate at Hungry Jacks.

Took the bus home and did more revision. Watched Naruto too. It's almost 1am already. Going to bed now. Night...

Queen's Birthday

Today's a holiday in Australia. Didn't do anything exciting though. I got up at 11am and stayed at home studying and using the laptop. In a week's time, I'll be in the exam hall sitting for my first exam. Wish me luck!

Got up and had my brunch. Did a little bit of studying before I rushed out to catch the bus. Was a little late for Pre-service Prayer.

After that, we moved to the second hall for our service. It ended at almost 6pm and we hung around till 6.30pm. Then we helped pack the van with the equipments.

Took the bus to the city and we walked to Roma Street. Had dinner in Ajisen Ramen which was quite good. Had a fun time too.

Most of us then walked to the bus station and took the 444 back home. I got back home at about 10.10pm and took my shower.

QUT3 Professional Movers and Cleaners Co.

I got up at 6am today and took the 7am bus to the city. Arrived at 7.40am and since I still had time, I did my quiet time before heading to Windsor.

Went to JY's house and helped her move out. The guys loaded the furniture and transported it to various places. Meanwhile, the girls helped clean the house.

For lunch, JY bought us pizza. All of us had a wonderful picnic outside. Then, the guys went to a very interesting place.

We drove a truckload of household thrash to the dump site Nudgee. The cars have to line up to get in. Cars will have to get on a "Weigh Bridge" and they would measure the weight of the car.

Then, they will direct us to a numbered dumpsite. There were 5 in total and we were told to go to 2.

That place reminded me of Toy Story 3. What we then did was grab everything from the truck and THROW it down the deep pit. It was really stinky but all of us had fun throwing stuff into the pit, especially when there are many fragile items. :P

After a while, a bulldozer will come and squash everything. Actually this is just a transfer station. The thrash would be later sorted accordingly.

Before we leave, we had to drive onto the weigh bridge again. They will the count the difference between your car's current weight and previous weight. Then they will bill you according to the weight of the thrash thrown. We actually threw away 580kg and paid AUD25 for that! :P

Went back to JY's place and transferred the last batch of furniture which will be donated. Then, we rushed to Fortitude Valley and returned the truck at 4.20pm.

Headed to G's place for some 'Tong Sui" before J walked me to the bus stop. Took the 433 home and was back by 5.40pm.

To my surprise, they ordered pizza for dinner. Yes, I did have pizza for lunch and am having it for dinner again. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed my dinner . :P

Afterwards, I cleaned up and started studying. Showered, blogged, lazed around till now. It's 11pm already and I'm gonna study a little more before ending the night. Bye...
